Creative Review commissioned this series on digital archeology for the cover of their Museum issue.

We photographed a 3D printed model of the now destroyed Palmyra arch. The 1,800-year-old Roman arch was blown up last October, but a team of archeologists at Oxford University’s Institute for Digital Archeology set about recreating it through hi-res scanning and 3D printing. The story explores digital preservation and how it aims to give us the ability to record culture so it can be saved and enjoyed by future generations.
